Nomad

Nomad rugs are hand knotted by travelling tribes women, said to be the first to have mastered the knotted pile technique. Traditionally flatweave and lightweight in design, these rugs are made as the tribe's roam from place to place. The nomads do not believe in the distinction of borders, and such definitions and restraints are as equally unimportant in their rug weaving. The creativity and individuality of these tribal textiles are continually inspired by their ever-changing environment, in turn creating completely unique pieces of art.
